INTRODUCING Australian brothers Tom and Marty Williams - 2 heartland singer/songwriters who are travelling the world to sing their harmonious tales of life and joy to audiences everywhere! Tom and Marty are Fijian from birth, of German & British ancestry and global residents by choice. They have been writing and performing music together since they were teenagers, and have produced many CDs between them. Highly creative and passionate performers in their own rights, their talents combined as cousin leonard is magic!! In August/September 2006 cousin leonard embarked on a tour of Europe and the UK, that saw the boys return to their childhood stomping grounds of Bristol, and visit the birthplace of their great grandfather, Marburg (Germany), as well as play to packed houses in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Spiez (Switzerland), Weymouth, and the English sea-side theatres in Lime Regis and Penzance, as well as the amazing crowds of the Edinburgh Festival in the Famous Spiegeltent. Aaah the world is indeed a great place.....& the family continues to be considerably extended. Catch a sample of their live magic from their series of live recordings, the latest is called : "cousin leonard - In The RAWLive In Oz" (UUR03-009) 2007. Their first Studio ep "Lucky 4 Love" (UUR003-007), features the tracks "Lucky" and "Live 4 Love", as well as the superb talents of Chris Wilson - blues harp, Mech MC - beat box, Nicky Bomba - drums, & Bart Bee - loops/programming. and of course, the brand new studio LP "under one sun" 2008 Marty says "We've named ourselves cousin leonard as a tribute to our mum's favourite cousin, because there is always one guy in every family who is a bit eccentric and universally loved and Leonard was ours. We didn't get to meet him, but having heard so many stories about him over the years through all of our family members, we felt it apt that his name live on in this musical adventure". Some of cousin leonard's work may already be familiar to you - their song "Someday You Will Fly" from their debut "SilverFly" studio CD, remixed by Colin Simpkins (David Bowie/INXS), featured on the Australian television programme Home And Away. Their sublime vocal sound could only be made by brothers living in harmony - think of the Finn Brothers or The Everly Brothers - then add some grit, trombone and a dash of Ben Harper, Bob Marley, Michael Franti and David Gray and you're getting there. REVIEWS : "Sensational sibling harmonies with fresh energy to deliver enlightened melodic music" - David Sly / Adelaide Advertiser "...superb musicanship, infectious enthusiasm and engaging songwriting. Definitely an act to watch and deserving of wide recognition!" - Martin Contempree - Director / Club Acoustica Australia "The Williams Brothers are fiercely independent, have set up their own record label doubleURecords, with the first release being a sensational ambient/world music/roots album they produced called MIZU-an Australian Story of Water....the album has a fluidity that takes listeners on a journey outside the normal confines of Australian music." - Kate Welsman / Rhythms Magazine / Radio PBS-Melb.Australia "Don't miss the glorious rise of the brothers from Oz.......2 Heartland singer-songwriters that breathe new life, joy and harmony into audiences the world 'round.
